Welcome to EcoSTEM

Since its inception in 1998, the Reach Education Action Programme (REAP) has been a leader in educational innovation. Building on this foundation, we launched the STEM Learning & Research Centre (SLRC) — a dedicated initiative aimed at enriching Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education across schools by incorporating an ecological perspective. Our aim is to inspire and equip students with the knowledge and skills essential for the 21st-century world.

In collaboration with Xavier Institute of Engineering (XIE), Mumbai, SLRC serves as a hub for research, curriculum development, and high-impact educational outreach. Our programs are rooted in hands-on learning, scientific experimentation, model building, and coding, helping students understand key STEM principles through real-world applications.

Our Vision

To nurture a generation of scientifically curious learners who are empowered to explore, build, and innovate through STEM — integrating technology, design, ecological concerns and scientific reasoning into everyday learning.

Our Mission

To build a strong foundation in STEM for students from Grade 1 onwards by providing accessto innovative learning experiences. We aim to simplify complex scientific and technological concepts through experiments, model-making, and interactive programming, making STEM accessible and enjoyable for all learners.

EcoSTEM encourages discovery-based education, where students actively engage in exploration and experimentation — learning by doing, thinking critically, and working collaboratively on meaningful challenges.

What People Says About Us?

Aditya JadhavClass 9 Student, St. Rock’s High School
When EcoSTEM started classes in our school, I was curious but unsure. But after building a gear-changing car, a marble run model, a four-wheel drive, and even a stirrer machine—I’ve completely fallen in love with robotics! These hands-on projects helped me understand science in a fun way. Now, I want to become a mechanical engineer and design machines that help people. Thank you, EcoSTEM, for showing me what I’m capable of!
Riya SharmaClass 9 Student, St. Rock’s High School
I never thought I could build something like a gear-changing car with my own hands! Now, science is my favorite subject, and I want to become an engineer one day.
Mr. Arvind MehtaClass 9 Student, St. Rock’s High School
After the STEM sessions, my son has started experimenting at home with small machines and asking deep questions about how things work. EcoSTEM has made learning fun and meaningful for him.
Nakul PatilClass 5 Student, Holy Cross Convent High School
We made a terrarium and a water filter using simple materials! It helped me understand how science connects with the environment and our daily lives
