STEM Education in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020

• NEP 2020 emphasizes experiential learning over traditional teaching, focusing on learning objectives.
• NEP emphasizes learning key concepts, ideas, applications, problem-solving, critical thinking, holistic, inquiry-based, discovery-based, discussion-based, and analysis-based learning.
• Subjects like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Design Thinking are introduced.
• Emphasis is placed on Math, computational thinking, machine learning (ML), and data science at the foundational stage (i.e., age 6).
• Coding will be taught from age 11.
